Radiant Logistics, Inc. (OTC:RLGT) has been climbing up over the past days. Yesterday, the stock added the next 13.43% to its price and traded approximately 300 shares on the market.

The most curious thing here is that Radiant has not released any news about its business recently. However, a few statements of changes in the company’s beneficial ownership came up on the otcmarkets website last week. According to these, members of the management team have bought different amounts of the company’s common stock. As soon as the team acquired RLGT shares, the stock price started to rise up. Is it by chance, or are these shares meant to be re-sold at a higher price? It’s up to be seen.[BANNER]

Radiant Logistics, Inc. is a non-asset based logistics company providing domestic and international freight forwarding services through a network that includes a combination of company-owned and exclusive agent offices across North America. For the three months ended September 30, Radiant reported net income of $783 thousand and $46.4 million in revenues, which is $0.03 per basic and fully diluted share.

Radiant’s adjusted EBITDA for the same period totaled about $1.7 million, compared to $722 thousand for the year before. However, the company’s operating loss has increased significantly as well as its liabilities, which are about to reach the sum of the total assets. Besides, Radiant hasn’t paid its long-term debt, which has also got higher.

Radiant has a share repurchase program that authorizes them to purchase up to 5 million shares of common stock through end-December this year. Though, the management claims it “will be required to make significant payments in the future if the earn-out installments under our various acquisitions become due”. Thus, they “may have to secure additional sources of capital”, which is connected with certain risks and potential dilution to the stockholders.

Ligand Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:LGND) seems to be expecting heavy seas ahead as the recent company’s filings have brought harmful news for their stock. After another severe decline yesterday, it landed at a new bottom for the past year.

Investors were withdrawing from the entire healthcare industry, but Ligand Pharmaceuticals was among the biggest losers yesterday. The price of the shares fell progressively over the whole trading session and on over 680,000 shares traded, the stock closed 9.09% down at $1.40. After it could not break the previous resistance levels last week, now there seem to be no signs for a reversal. Only the lack of consolidation on the market could give some optimism that the selling pressure from yesterday can slow down.

But the recent news about Ligand Pharmaceuticals have not brought much of optimism to their investors either. The management has probably noticed that the market is no longer willing to pay a higher price for their shares, and now plan a reverse stock split, attempting to bargain for the share price through cutting the supply. What else remains as an option, not only the business does not seem to have more potential, but it looks like it has even less.

Earlier this month, the company announced its plans to close the New Jersey facility in Cranbury, in the hope to cut operational costs. Previously, Pfizer Inc. announced in May it is in the process of withdrawing its application with the FDA related to Fablyn, a product candidate that resulted from the collaboration between Pfizer and Ligand Pharmaceuticals. The other two product candidates, resulting from the same collaboration, remain under development. About a week before that, another company terminated its Research and License Agreement with Ligand, effective immediately and without giving any reasons.

According to the company’s fundamentals, the biotechnology business of Ligand has not been running much better in the past as well. Royalties have been received from some product candidates, along with revenues from collaborative research, but the cash flows still remained negative and the sale of security was the main source of funds.

Axcelis Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ACLS)’s business does not seem to be growing fast enough, as their bank had to change the terms of their financing. Though, an expected announcement about the stock to rejoin Russell 3000 Index, combined with strong short seller interest, led on Friday to a record volume and a higher price.

The 2.91% increase in the price of Axcelis Technologies’ under $2 NASDAQ stock can hardly be considered the beginning of another stable uptrend for the stock. An expected bullish MACD crossover must have attracted a lot of investors on Friday and the price started climbing up towards the end of the trading day, finally closing at the higher level of $1.77.

Although the 14.8 million volume was a record for this year, nearly half of it consisted of short sales, meaning that the stock for now does not have real potential to gain value in a stable manner. At the beginning of last weak, an announcement of Axcelis Technologies’ stock being expected to rejoin the broad-market Russell 3000 Index by market close on Friday was probably expected to give some support, though the effect observed throughout the week was rather negative, before investor awareness rose up on Friday.

First quarter results, released in the middle of last months had interrupted the established uptrend of the stock and the market still remains cautious. Despite positive significant increase in revenues, is seems that the operations are not getting more efficient fast enough. The net loss was less that half of the amount for the same period last year, but these improvements are still insufficient for the company to comply with certain financial covenants under a credit facility with a bank, which require minimum levels of operating results and liquidity.

The loan agreement has been modified at the end of May, and according to the amendment, Axcelis Technologies should not suffer a loss, exceeding $24 million for the trailing six-month period ending this month. Considering that the net loss during the first quarter was $11.1 million, the amendment thus expects higher loss during this year’s second quarter.

That change in the financing terms affected the stock price in a negative way, although still securing certain levels of operational efficiency. Investors are now eagerly expecting to see the current quarter results, before they can consider to price the stock higher.

Longwei Petroleum Investment Holding Ltd. (OTC:LPIH) was among the winners in the under $5 market on Friday. On no recent operational updates, but with promising financials and expected uplisting, the oil and gas company recorded a modest increase in value and slightly higher trading volume.

Ignoring the favorable quarter results filed in the middle of last month, reaffirming management guidance for the current year, the shares of Longwei Petroleum have been on a downtrend over the last weeks. On Friday the market coincided though on a higher price and the stock closed 2.75% up at $2.24.

The market appears to be underestimating the stock in the post-earnings release period and ignoring the remarkable increases in revenues and margins and the strong cash position. On the recent depreciation, the shares look even more undervalued, considering the company’s sales and the significant premium the market pays for other companies from that industry.

Yesterday, Everock Inc. granted investors an almost 50% return over only two days. The volume traded hit a new peak.

This was the result of an active EVRN stock promotion campaign and the company’s appreciation of the work of its master broker.

Yesterday, EVRN stock entered the market with a higher price, than it closed the day before. The stock jumped by $0.0022, or 23.7%, to $0.0115 in the session.

More than 49 million shares changed hands in expectation of huge gains. The new volume peak beat the record from the end of March with 3 millions shares.

The PR campaign of EVRN these days had two dimensions. One of them was in the field of developing consumer awareness of the Nature’s Peak brand through press releases. The other one was in the field of developing shareholder awareness of the EVRN stock.

The stock promotion was a continuation of March promos, after a short “holidays” break.
