Promoters were successful in raising up the price of Beacon Power Corp. ( NASDAQ:BCON ) yesterday, as the market closed at $0.44 for a share, meaning an increase by 4.63%.

Promoters were successful in raising up the price of Beacon Power Corp. (NASDAQ:BCON) yesterday, as the market closed at $0.44 for a share, meaning an increase by 4.63%.

Investors were obviously eager to get the stock, since the volume reached the highest level for this month and exceeded 3 million shares. No compensation was disclosed for yesterday’s promotion, as well as for most of the all together six promotions for Beacon Power from last year. Though, it looks like the promotion was one of the most successful ones for the past year. Considering the latest bothersome news about the company, it seems as Beacon Power really needs some serious support.

The threat of delisting is hanging heavily over Beacon Power, as around three weeks ago the company announced it has received a notification from the Nasdaq Stock Market, informing that the company still cannot meet the criteria concerning the bid price to remain listed on the Nasdaq. Though, the drop out will be postponed once again. Beacon Power complies with all of the other inclusion requirements and has been granted for a second time, an additional 180 days with a deadline in September this year to comply once again with the $1 price rule. Thus, investors will have some more time to exploit the highly volatile and speculative stock of Beacon Power.

Some time before that, the manufacturer of flywheel-based energy storage systems filed its financial results and the stock closed almost 9% down from the opening price. For a good reason: although some improvement in revenues and operations can be pointed out, the company has not had any positive earnings for the last five years and has accumulated a significant net loss since its founding in 1997.

(OTCBB: AMCG) is a business with full scale operational results not yet published, but they tend to show promising revenue growth with the results previewed so far. Providing the Chinese public with ever so popular mobile phone games, the company is targeting one of the largest markets currently worldwide.[BANNER]

Amico generates revenues through in cooperation with Galaxy Software Ltd., which has signed a series of agreements with Amico’s subsidiary Vodafun Ltd. It’s a mixed organization, but judging from the previewed results – this doesn’t affect their ability to carry out a profitable business.

The proclaimed $1.25 million in revenue that was recently announced is just the beginning of the company’s growth, or so they like to present. Of course their market segment is promising and it should be easy to get some of the circulating cash with games that have carved their place amongst Chinese gamers. The company is seeking to achieve $10 million in sales by 2012 according to the Beacon equity report.

Amico’s most prominent games include brands presented back in 2006. These multiplayer games are still attracting new players, as the company announced a few days ago. It might turn into a pretty good business if they continue gaining market share. Clearly new games will have to be created if they want to achieve this goal and management has indicated that it plans to increase their assortment during 2010-2011.

Amico is still considerably small, but has already been appraised as one of the top Chinese gaming industry performers at the Fifth China Mobile phone Game Enterprise Public Appraisal Fair 2009-2010.
