Coastal Pacific Mining Corp. (PINK:CPMCF) stock promoters have entered the game again, still remembering the hot last October. Unfortunately, the news from yesterday that the company has issued the one million shares under its option agreement for the Hotstone Gold Property is not that hot anymore, but anyway the circumstances are still in favor of a hot trading session for CPMCF stock today.

Even more promising than the promised by the company further news may also be considered the fact that these days 12 promoters have shared a total compensation of $90,000 for a marketing campaign for the stock. CPMCF closed yesterday at $0.0815, already reporting a 21.64% jump up on a relatively low trading volume of 3.36 million shares. Technical parameters are favorable, and given the lack of hard resistances the promoters might be looking at least for a break up above 10 cents.

The PR from yesterday has been presented as a “Really Big Deal”, saying that Coastal Pacific is current with its obligations under its agreement from last October to acquire 50% of the Hotstone Gold Property, respectively it has issued the required one million shares of common stocks and has paid $50,000 in cash. That information is contained, or at least implied in some way, already in the 20-K annual report of the company, filed last November.

So, investors will probably not get that excited today, especially after realizing that the rest of the PR is also compliant with the above mentioned financial report. No funding agreements have been announced, so it is evident that the company still has no cash to undertake the rest of its commitments on its two last projects, the Hotstone and Santa Rita projects. Existence of any commercially viable reserves on that properties is also yet to be proven.

As for the promised yesterday drilling results on the gold mineralization within the Hotstone property, traders will have to wait up for summer to come. Seasonality could prevent access to that area in the winter months, and as the latest 20-K of CPMCF also states, the company will probably not be able to undertake exploration activities during the spring months due to ground conditions. And without fresh news, or more promotions, CPMCF share price is more likely to keep moving sideways than break out.

At the end of last November, Tradeshow Marketing Co Ltd reported cash and cash equivalents of $97K, accumulated deficit of $3,6M and bargaining assets of not more than $161K. These assets include the company’s furniture and equipment, patent and trademarks, and the website development costs.

Activity in WordLogic Corporation (OTC:WLGC) is increasing once again as the price is holding the gains from September and is ready to take off any moment.

The stock price went up shortly after the roll out of the new Google Instant search system. WordLogic hold a patent for a very similar search system, which according to their CEO could be even better than Google’s.

As Google allegedly infringed one or few of WordLogic’s patents for the predictive text technology, some remedy is now foreseen by traders. Aiming to stay on top of their game, Google will need to get these patents and protect itself from Microsoft or Yahoo taking the technology.[BANNER]

Officially, no serious talks about a joint venture or partnership have taken place yet, but as the Google itself has stressed the importance of this technology, WordLogic remains a hot stock that could explode on good news.

WordLogic has only issued one commentary press release on the subject, so excitement among traders is further fueled only by the rumors. While things are rolling in a positive direction, the size of the premium on WLGC share price is questionable at this point as the pricing of their technology has not yet been set. WordLogic now hold $21 million market cap, while their balance sheet is heavy leveraged – any further PPS appreciation is not very likely to happen without support from the news front.

Vemics’ web-portal and communication business isn’t generating enough revenues to pay the bills, and continuing net losses suggest the shares are priced accordingly to their, intangible assets and debt heavy, balance sheet. There is even a tendency for the intangible value to decrease and debt to go up over the past three quarters.

The company is covering their expenses through borrowings and stock sales, so the share price is in turn held down by still increasing debt. Moreover, they managed to record over 18% stock dilution over second half of 2009.
