Yesterday, TECO had an extremely good session, which made a lot of investors exstatic. The price surged 58.97% on approximately 9.1 million shares and closed at $0.062. Less than a month ago, it was a sub-penny stock.

It seems the factor that caused the $0.015 resistance to break was the press release published by TECO on Apr. 12. In it, the company announced it had signed a “definitive letter of intent” to purchase producing oil and gas leases in the Texas 7B Oil District. The PR said the acquisition was projected to close on Apr. 14.

This didn’t seem to dampen the spirits. On Apr. 14, the company announced Bruce Gwyn had been appointed to the Board of Directors, effective Apr. 15. This gave extra confidence to investors and the run continued.

TECO is based in Houston Texas. The company is engaged in the process of adding oil and gas properties to its assets. That’s part of what is said on the company website. At this time, the news section there is not updated for some reason and the latest release is from December 22, 2010.

The latest financial report is the annual report filed on Apr. 15. According to the 10-K, TECO was not in the most favorable financial state as of December 31, 2010:

• $148 cash to account for the company’s total current assets
• $1,485,699 liabilities, all of which current
• $1,570 in revenue and $769,679 net loss for the year

Statements like “we may have difficulty financing our planned growth” and “… at December 31, 2010… we had no proved oil and gas reserves…” may not sound too promising.

This, however, doesn’t seem to bother traders and today’s session is starting very well for TECO. The company provided another PR to inform potential investors that it had acquired a drilling rig.

While there are still no details about the previously announced acquisitions, it seems the run will go on for the time being. For how long, and how far it will take TECO, remains to be seen.

Eight promotions, $70 thousand. No result. Yes, you have read it right – despite the herculean efforts made by a number of interested parties to pump the stock of Here Enterprises Inc (PINK:HRTE), the latter has failed to get out of the steady downward spiral it entered a month ago.

HRTE claims to be a wind power developer – a field that is supposed to have the potential for growth. Moreover, its managers have recently been showing a great level of activity as a lot of strategic announcements have already popped up. Two days ago, HRTE was reported to have joined a 600+ member Texas association encompassing all aspects of renewable energy industries. Nevertheless, yesterday’s trading session brought about another negative performance of HRTE stock – a 7% decline in price and a three-fold decrease in volume.

HRTE is a registered SEC filer. Founded in 2007, it was incorporated in Nevada. Its latest 10Q report covering the period ended Nov. 30 draws a very bleak picture for a company in its development stage, namely:

The figures mentioned above hardly justify the $10 thousand monthly remuneration of CEO Mark. K. Ryun. The company has been issuing convertible notes with regard to the repayment of a promissory note of $640 thousand. On the other hand, it must be pointed out that wind power is a field of huge potential. Since HRTE is in full possession of a couple of properties, some of which have already been equipped with proper facilities, it could actually turn profitable in the near future and reward its most loyal stockholders for their patience and support.

Now, the immense trading activity that led to the increased price was caused by official announcements from the company, coupled with rumours and speculations over the Internet. On Tuesday, the company released information about the latest development of its wholly-owned subsidiary Energy Broadband Inc. It was stated that EB has recently initiated broadband wireless services to the Eagle Ford Shale region for the drilling operations of a new major worldwide independent oil and gas company. With the considerable revenues, NDR Energy Group LLC has demonstrated a significant base of clients. However, the report says nothing about profitability. Universal is late with its 10Q report for the three months ended September 30, 2010.

Previous income statements depicted huge costs of sales eating away any possible profits. The company plans to reach $50 million in sales for 2011, but obviously additional capital to cover the losses from operations will be required.

The stock price had also been influenced by an agreement with ProGas Energy Services, Inc. that the company announced on Thursday. Under the new joint venture agreement, the companies will be developing a new oil and gas field in Texas Gulf Coast natural trend. Current plans provide for the development of up to 110 wells, three of them have already been drilled and are producing.

Universal Bioenergy’s press release stated the wells in production should already directly provide a profit for the company. According to the reports, the field holds up to 20 million barrels of oil and 17 billion cubic feet of gas.

The announcements didn’t provide the revenue split ration between the businesses, but apparently Universal will be marketing the gas production for their partners as well.
